Special Meeting Minutes-Budget Hearing
Town of Apple River
Date 11-12-07- 7:00PM
Members: Chairman: Dan Carlson, Supervisors: Dave Waterman & Ansel
Johnson
Treasurer: Linda Peterson, Clerk: Ken Sample
Meeting was called to order with all members present and verification
of public notice duly noted.
Handouts for 2008 budget were provided and an overview discussion was
held.
Questions were addressed and meeting was adjourned at 7:15PM.

Discussion on current levy of $184,785 and future options of 3.86%
for 2008 and 2.0% for 2009 were held. Questions were solicited but
none presented.
Motion made by Dan Carlson with a second by Ansel Johnson to adopt
the following resolution.
“Be it resolved that we, the town electors of the Town of Apple
River, being duly assembled at the Special Town Meeting on 11-12-2007,
do hereby authorize the Town Board of the Town of Apple River to raise
money and adopt a local levy pursuant to sec. 60.10(2)(a) of the
Wisconsin Statutes. Further, this resolution shall have continuing
and ongoing effect until rescinded by further town meeting action.”
The amount to be levied is 3.86 % above the current levy of $184,785.
The vote was taken by show of hands with all parties approving the
adoption of said resolution with none opposed.
It was further noted that all monies, approximately $7,133, resulting
from the levy increase would be applied to Public Works-Road
Construction.
